Jose Gourmet - Spiced Octopus in Olive Oil

The spicy sibling of José's octopus with garlic. Atlantic octopus, cooked the traditional Portuguese way and packed in olive oil with a little piri piri chilli. The heat is gentle, just enough to warm the oil, and the octopus stays tender rather than chewy.

This is the tin I'd open when friends come over. Slice it and toss it with boiled potatoes, red onion, parsley and a splash of vinegar for a quick Portuguese-style salad, or lay it on warm toast and spoon the chilli oil over the top. Octopus is lean and high in protein too, though that's really beside the point.
