About Edo Kiriko (江戸切子)

Edo Kiriko began in 1834 when glass merchant Kaga-ya Kyūbei of Edo first engraved patterns on glass. Edo Kiriko is now officially recognized by Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade, and Industry as a Traditional Craft.
