MV steel is a softer stainless steel used for knives that are getting the rougher treatment. It is renowned for its respectable edge retention and good sharpness. Great knife

With small serrated, it's very easy to use to slice bread. Don't even need to use any energy, 1 swing, bread gets sliced smoothly. I recommend it to all my chef friends. Thank you.

better than it looks

I’m a home baker, and every two weeks I slice five loaves of bread to freeze. Over time, I’ve grown very comfortable using my 30cm bread knife. This 28cm knife was a replacement as sharpening serrated bread knives is a pain.

When I first unboxed it, my initial impression was that the handle felt a little cheap. However, once I started slicing, I appreciated the thin, slightly flexible blade. In my experience, thicker, rigid bread knives often produce rougher, less precise cuts for bread.

Overall, I’ve enjoyed using it. If choosing a bread knife for sourdough, length is important, 28 - 30cm is the minimum in my opinion.

Namiba Monster 280mm

Great bread knife. Definately drops less crumbs. Cleaner cuts than a standard bread knife. Just the handle lets it down. Slippery and a little thin. Couple of fat rubber bands helps a lot.
