This Saya fits many double bevel Japanese Chef / Santoku knives with either western or partial tang handles. It will accommodate knives with spines up to 3.5mm at the base. It does no fit western style knives with a full heel (e.g. Henkel, Wustof and Sabatier).

Please pay special attention to the above. Knives with a thick distal taper will not fit these narrow Saya. Wherever your blade thickness exceeds 3.5mm, the blade will not fit unless you widen the Saya channel. Please view the final image in the slide to see blade dimensions for Saya fitments and measure carefully. We want to provide you with as much information as is needed to pick correctly. Refunds on Saya covers will be available for incorrect choices, with shipping to be paid by the customer.

For years, founder Ed Ross spent time as a chef working in Japanese cuisine. He started making saya and knife handles for friends in the food industry and developed a passion for wood working. As a result he started EDRO Made.
