PRODUCT ORDERS + DESCRIPTIONS
All orders on site are displayed in Australian dollars, and will be billed as such at the checkout, unless otherwise displayed by our currency conversion tool.
Packaging and postage fees, unless otherwise stated, are added at the checkout and may vary depending upon the desired postage method of the user.
By purchasing any of our knives, you agree that you are 18 years or over.
Upon placing an order on our website, you will be required to provide us with your full name, delivery address, billing address, phone number, and email. We will not provide this information to any other third party, and while the utmost care is taken by us, we will not be held accountable for loss of data due to theft, virus, or malicious act by a third party.
If you wish to cancel your order, please contact us at your earliest convenience. We reserve the right to cancel your order at any time. In the event of an order cancellation by us, we will refund the purchase amount should a transaction have taken place.
Ownership of the goods passes to you after payment has been received in full by us. Shipping and delivery information can be found in the ‘Shipping’ section of our website. Stock availability may fluctuate, and as such this may affect shipping times. While we try our best to ensure all items are updated on our site, stock shortages may occur.
We reserve the right to delay postage of any items that have outstanding payments.
When a transaction or purchase is disputed due to incorrect information listed on the website, we reserve the right to cancel the transaction and return the money to the purchaser should any payment have taken place.
DUTIES AND TAXES
The responsibility for any custom duties, foreign taxes or other fees to which the purchaser may be liable rest with the purchaser.
As per our refunds policy, if a delivery from us should be held in customs or otherwise in the purchasers country and the purchaser refuses to pay the applicable duties to ensure its release, the purchaser must arrange payment to have the delivery returned to us. Only upon receipt of this return will we refund the purchase amount.
The return shipping fees are the responsibility of the purchaser in any return scenario unless otherwise agreed.

We accept no responsibility for any goods that are damaged during transit once they leave our premises. The responsibility lies with the purchaser to apply for any insurance to cover an item in transit.
The highest level of care needs to be used when using any of our knives. They are incredibly sharp, and as such should not be used by any child or anyone inexperienced in using kitchen knives, in any manner other than their intended use.
Improper use of our knives will void your warranty. Our knives have a very fine edge, and as such should not be used on any frozen objects, bones, or hard surfaces such as stone, granite, steel, glass surfaces or plastic chopping boards. We do our best to provide comprehensive care instructions both on the product pages of our website, and the care cards in each knife box. Any failure to adhere to these instructions rests the responsibility of any repairs with the customer.
Once despatched from our premises, Chefs Edge does not accept any responsibility for knives that are damaged in transit, or damaged by the user after use. We are not liable or responsible in any way for any injuries resulting from the use of our knives.
We permit you to use the information on our site for personal use, provided you do not alter any images, content, or otherwise to claim as your own to use for any commercial purpose.
As per the Copyright Act of 1968, you are not permitted to use any substantial part of the works of this website including all written content, images, graphics, or otherwise without our express and written permission.
Whilst we have taken all due care in providing the information on our website, we do not provide any warranty either express or implied including without limitation warranties of title or implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.
To the extent permitted by law, any condition or warranty which would otherwise be implied into these terms and conditions is excluded.
While we do our best to ensure that our website is free of viruses and malware, we are not liable for any damage to any computer systems as a result of visiting our website.
By accessing our website, you agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from all claims, actions, damages, costs and expenses including legal fees arising from or in connection with your use of our website.
If a Force Majeure event causes a delay that lasts for longer than thirty (30) days, we may terminate this Agreement by giving at least seven (7) days Notice to you. “Force Majeure” means any act, circumstance or omission over which we could not reasonably have exercised control.
These terms and conditions are to be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Western Australia and any claim made by either party against the other which in any way arises out of these terms and conditions will be heard in Western Australia and you agree to submit to the jurisdiction of those Courts.
If any conditions in these terms and conditions is deemed to be invalid by any law the provision will be limited, amended, or altered as necessary in order to render it valid but only to the extent necessary to achieve such validity. If it is deemed to be necessary, the invalid condition will be removed in full from these terms and conditions and the remaining conditions will remain in full force and effect.

In a general sense we collect non-personally identifiable information in order to analyse the performance of our website. This includes information such as the approximate location of the user, the session duration on the website, pages per visit, and initial landing page, among other information.
We may disclose any information, including personally identifiable information, we deem necessary, in our sole discretion, to comply with any applicable law, regulation, legal process or governmental request.
We take security very seriously, and have SSL encryption safeguarding all information to and from the user and our website. While we continue to take the utmost care with user data, as stated, we cannot take any responsibility for any data lost or misused after a malicious attack from an external party.
